Witches, broomsticks & lots of bones

Happy Halloween!

a few of our decorations...

I let the kids take the lead on Halloween decor these days and it seems to get creepier every year!

Have a spooktacular night!

Quick & Easy Halloween

Add some Halloween touches to treats with simple glow in the dark creatures! I picked these up at a local party store.

Vintage inspired cupcake picks are too cute! This is from a party I styled for Babiekins Magazine last October

Give them the eye with mini ghost pumpkins. I added spooky eye stickers but you could also use googly eyes!

Easy Homemade Cranberry Sauce

I made some Cranberry Sauce today. It is super quick and easy to make. I hope you like it.

This recipe is adapted from a recipe from a very vintage copy of The Boston Cooking School Cookbook by Fannie Farmer.

I love this cookbook for its old-fashioned recipes. You can sometimes find them at thrift shops. If you see one it is worth picking up.

Enjoy!

Cozying up for Fall ...

Autumn nesting has come early in our house, not by choice, but due to sick kiddies. That means lots of time inside and lots of daydreaming about the coming renovation.

I was scouring the West Elm website looking for autumn inspiration and came across a few things I would love that say Autumn.

Lately I've been loving the kitchen and dining accessories from West Elm. Wouldn't it be fun to add these fun plates to your table this weekend for Canadian Thanksgiving?

love these smoky looking pendant lights...

And of course Etsy always lures me in with its handmade goodness!
Like this lovely, simple linen demi-apron

and this mustard pouf

I'm looking forward to spending this coming long weekend celebrating Thanksgiving with my family. We'll be hosting dinner with my Dad and Brother taking on, once again, my Mom's tradition of hosting this holiday. I know what I'll be thankful for... do you?
